You Made It! And I want to wish you an extremely Happy 2024!🎉

Butt end of 2022 and 2023 was a mixture of the downsides but overall amazing for me, and I'm grateful that we are both here, sharing this blissful moment.

While we begin the year with high hopes, I want to share some key lessons 2023 taught me. I hope that it encourages you more importantly and maybe provide a bit of reflection for the year ahead.

• It's beautiful to have goals, and it's important to celebrate your accomplishments along the way no matter how little.
• The long way is the shortcut because the shortcut never cuts it.
• Build your own table, but if you have to sit at another table, make sure your seat is at the front.
• Being 100% open and vulnerable with your partner about your weaknesses and mistakes is beneficial. Seek their forgiveness. Let them decide how to proceed with the truth you've shared. In the end, the healing process and bond, if they choose to forgive you, will be stronger.
• A naked man fears no pickpocket. Best to open up than fall for cheap blackmail.

My life is essentially not so unique.🦄

• Travel and explore the world. Seek to understand not just have fun. I visited quite a few this year after a long hiatus and I can reaffirm that nothing beats having different perspectives to life.
• Forgiveness is crucial for personal growth. Love should be unconditional, and forgiveness should be given even without being asked for. It's okay to cut off people who intentionally hurt you without reason, and it doesn't make you stupid if you can quickly heal from their cruelty neither does it necessarily make them bad people.
• Kindness is the most beautiful thing in the world no matter how you look like. It doesn’t cost anything, but it makes you rich. When we practice kindness towards ourselves and others, we boost feelings of happiness and create a ripple effect.

The GIFT | Christmas

• Losing a long time friend as an adult is incredibly difficult and one of the least topics spoken about. It's especially hard when you don't understand the absurd reason(s) behind the way you lost them.

• Relocating is absolutely difficult but one of the most fulfilling steps. If you have people you can trust outrightly, communicate it more for ease of transition. I had kept my status in mine to myself because I needed to make certain decisions. Sadly, at the time I had my bags in hand in December 2022, the disarray of a foiled business transition plan made it worse also affecting my settling.

• Dreams come true, and if they don't, it's simply not their time yet. Give it time - a few bad chapters doesn't mean your life is over.

• When you're put in a position and torn between settling a score to make peace between two parties involved or hitting the nail to ignite more fire, choose the former even if it involves a friend with benefits because life honours those with integrity cum dignity and gaining two healthy networks is more beneficial than burning bridges for one moment of passion.

• The actions of a friend who is not conscientious enough to rely on won't destroy you when they eventually betray you.

• Envious people who do not know you and/or dislike you would make up the most mundane stories to destroy every fibre of growth and happiness that surrounds you. Stay resilient and remember why they are at the bottom hence the need to bring you down too. Avoid dancing in the mud with them because you have more to loose.

• Diversity and inclusivity are challenging. Breaking barriers requires more than just being a different face; it's about true acceptance. Progress is never made by taking the easy path. Do HARD things!
• Nobody is perfect. Learn to accept the shortcomings and forgive the imperfections.

In 2024, simply do YOU. I have no doubt that you'll achieve greater feats. I'm rooting for you always!
